On A More Personal Note...

Robert A. Mendelsohn was born in NY City on March 26, 1927. He Graduated from high school in Mount Vernon, NY in June 1944 and although, only 17 years old enlisted in the US Army Air Corps. After WWII, He graduated in June of 1949 with a BS in Business Administration from the University of Buffalo, which had a very good academic reputation. He graduated from Cornell Law School in June of 1952 with a JD degree.

While at Cornell, on December 23, 1951, he married his wife, the former Leah Loonsk of Buffalo, NY. He passed the NY State Bar Exam in July of 1952 and was admitted to practice law in NY State in September of 1952. When his wife completed her BA degree in January of 1953, they moved to Westchester County in NY, and purchased a home in White Plains, NY the following July. They have lived in White Plains ever since. As soon as he moved to Westchester, Robert Mendelsohn started practicing law in White Plains. This is his 55th year practicing law . They have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren, and all live in this part of the country. 

Among other things, in addition to the practice of law, he plays tennis and has his garden, starting everything from seeds. Gardening is an 11 month a year hobby. He is a test gardener for for National Garden Magazine, teaches Bridge and has been a Life Master since the early 1970's.
